CASSIDY COLES

Photography is my way of connecting the love of the outdoors and being able to capture the moments around me. My passion for photography began with being surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes. I’ve always been intrigued by the elements and the geographic features of the area. This project is about photographing the natural layers and textures that are seen in the landscape around us. From focusing on the grand mountains to the small details, I want to capture the scenic world we live in.

My photos are transferred onto wood panels because I want to incorporate natural elements in my final work. Printing on wood itself adds another layer to the project. My frames include wood, bark, and moss to contribute to the organic feel of the photos. It’s time to let the outside in.
