As an artist, I am constantly fascinated by the interplay of light and movement, and how they can be captured through photography. My recent exploration of light painting photography using drones has allowed me to push the boundaries of traditional techniques and create truly unique and dynamic images.
The photos presented in this project are entirely the process and results of dedicated time, practice, and experimentation. While I do have prior experience shooting simple long exposures; the addition of a drone while outside and having a limited time to capture the photo has proved that my photography experience will be put to the test.
By utilizing the precision and versatility of drones, I was able to experiment with complex light painting designs and movements, resulting in stunningly intricate shapes. The aerial perspective also adds a new dimension to the images, revealing details and textures that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Through my work, I aimed to showcase the beauty and complexity of light and movement and to inspire others to see the world in new and unexpected ways. Working with Graham Haggerty at the AML truly helped my project come together and allowed me to test the limitless possibilities of artistic expression.
