Snow and Steel
I believe that there is nothing more magical in this world than snow. I grew up in the Adirondacks of upstate New York, so the mountains have always felt like home. Ski and snowboard photography is the perfect combination of my passions. I love capturing split-second moments, snow frozen in the air, and friends mastering their skills on the mountain. Snow sports are demanding, challenging, cold, at times painful, yet there is still a community determined to defy the laws of gravity just to nail a trick… and have some fun doing it.
This collection of photographs showcases stellar conditions, big air, steel terrain park features and competition tricks in Arizona and Colorado. The goal for this collection was to create quality imagery that could be used by a mountain marketing team. These photos were all taken with a snowboard strapped to my feet, and oftentimes frozen fingers managing to operate my camera. It’s all worth it when I see the excitement and gratitude my models have when I show them their photos. The adrenaline of this sport is addicting, and the risks can be so rewarding…especially when you have photos to prove it. I plan to continue chasing after the best angles and moments to show others why the world of snow sports is so worthwhile.
