Life's relentless pace often robs us of the chance to savor the exquisite beauty that surrounds us. We rush past roadside flowers, breeze by flower beds without a second glance, and rarely find time to immerse ourselves in the wild, where the allure of wildflowers awaits. From the earliest days of my youth, my fascination with flowers has only deepened over time. Their vibrant hues, intricate textures, and delicate details have always captivated me, reminding me of the boundless beauty that exists in our world.
In creating my flower capstone, I sought to offer viewers a glimpse into the overlooked intricacies of flora, sharing my profound love for flowers with others. Through the careful use of shallow depth of field, I guide the viewer's gaze to the singular details of each blossom, gently blurring the background to enhance their beauty. Moreover, by presenting the blooms in both color and black and white, I aim to highlight the vivid hues in some images while accentuating the striking textures in others. In this project, I explored many locations with each bloom from Carlsbad, CA to Flagstaff, AZ, and Phoenix, AZ, allowing me to get an interesting collection of flowers.
I hope this collection of images permits you to enjoy the small yet breathtaking wonders of life that I hold so dear to my heart.
