Everyone is different. There are so many different ways a person can express themselves. One of the most recognizable ways is through the clothes they choose to wear. Someone’s style can say a lot about them and is often used as a way to express themselves. I’ve decided to base this project on personal style.
Using people’s styles means that everyone’s images are going to have something unique about them. Rather than having people conform to me and my style, I let them choose what they wanted to portray and I did my best to conform to their styles and personalities. Each person is unique in their way and I hope to have captured them in a way that makes them feel true to themselves.
Through my work, I want people to see beauty in various styles. There are so many different ways a person can express themselves and I want it to be felt through the images. Personal style is a journey and at some point, they might look back on these and wonder why they had dressed that way, but in the present, this is their most authentic self.
