Through my time as a photographer, I have gone through different thoughts of what I should spend my life photographing. During COVID I had come across a Netflix show called Drive to Survive, a documentary series about the world and drivers of Formula 1. A motorsport that races all over the world with 20 of the world’s fastest drivers. Once I found this show, my world changed, and I fell in love with the sport. It got me thinking about how photography can play a part in this world. With that, I decided to pursue a career as a motorsport photographer.
These images create a world of motorsports and a way to immerse viewers into the thrilling world of NASCAR racing through an intimate exploration of the crew, drivers, and fans. By documenting the inner workings and dynamic relationships within this high-energy environment, I aim to provide a unique perspective from both behind the pit road and in the infield. With this comprehensive photographic portfolio, I seek to not only showcase the fast-paced action of racing but also to capture the essence of the American racing culture as a whole. This project will serve as a visual journey into the heart of NASCAR, celebrating the dedication, passion, and excitement that defines this beloved sport.
