Timmy Deppe
I am a photographer who loves to capture images of people doing what they love in magnificent and complex environments, often with backgrounds of green forests or arid deserts. The subjects’ activities have ranged from backpacking and kayaking to climbing and mountain biking, and often include strenuous movement or extremely rough terrain. Since moving to Flagstaff, I have discovered even more how diverse nature and geology can be. With my capstone portfolio, I hope to capture intense emotion on specific climbs in the Southwest region, with a diverse array of athletes. Then, I want to print a tapestry of these climbs using cyanotype processes, making a collage of the various rocks and environments.
