Hi, I'm Lukas Wisner!
My name is Lukas Wisner. I am a portrait and still life photographer, from Orange County, California. I am graduating from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Photography, and minors in Advertising and Photojournalism.
As a portrait Photographer I have been drawn to the raw energy of on-location shoots and the controlled creativity of the studio. My work lives in the space where experimentation meets intention—I’m constantly exploring unconventional lighting setups, unexpected compositions, and unique posing to create images that stand apart from the ordinary. At the heart of my process is connection. I believe the best portraits are built on trust, which is why I spend time getting to know my subjects beyond the lens. Every shoot is a collaboration, and every frame is designed to reflect the individual story, and essence of the person in front of the camera. Whether it’s a back alley, an open field, or a bare studio wall, I’m always chasing the moment where technique and personality collide to create something timeless.
My Capstone project is called Fashion and Identity. The project focuses on how individuals use fashion as a way to express themselves on a daily basis. For this project I really wanted to emphasize both popular and niche fashion styles within society that are fundamental to the identity of certain groups. I ultimately completed seven photoshoots specifically for this project covering the fashion styles; Country, Athletic, Classic, Punk, Girly Pop, Artsy, & Elegant. As my Capstone comes to a completion, my goal is to continue to grow & expand my work in portrait & still life photography within fashion, advertising or consumer products.
