Hi, I'm Jaeda Armijo!
I’m Jaeda Armijo, a creative with a deep love for photography. I’ve been photographing since I was sixteen, and over the years, I’ve continuously worked to deepen my artistic perspective through both personal exploration and collaborative projects. My work is rooted in the values of self-expression, connection, and making sure others feel seen.
For my capstone project, I chose to honor the women who have surrounded me through friendship. With a contemporary feminine lens, I set out to highlight the many unique forms of femininity that exist within each subject. Every session was designed to reflect the essence and individuality of the women I photographed.
To visually represent the layered nature of identity, I utilized double exposure as a key technique throughout the series. This method became a way to explore depth, symbolism, and emotion, offering a multidimensional look into the spirit of each subject. Through open dialogue and collaboration, each woman shared what femininity means to her, and together, we created visual representations of those personal definitions.
This body of work seeks to celebrate both individuality and sisterhood. While shared threads connect us, every woman brings her own story, energy, and presence. Through this project, I hope to emphasize the importance of cultivating a strong sense of self while also embracing the beauty of connection.
